4-year college degree or equivalent business experience required

Mathematics, finance, accounting, economics, or other business degree preferred

1.5 – 2 years in Underwriting Analyst role or related business experience preferred

1+ years of underwriting support experience within commercial property or personal lines insurance or financial services industries

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, risk management, business or a related field

2-4 years’ experience in project finance at an investment bank or renewable energy company

Train junior team members on modeling and other job responsibilities

Analyze detailed financial models prepared by clients to evaluate lending opportunities

Prepare debt sizing models and sensitivities

Conduct due diligence and prepare Q&A logs for potential lending opportunities

Review consultant reports from independent engineers, insurance consultants, appraisal, and power market consultants

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Prepare relevant underwriting information including client/market research and claims data

Assist in evaluation of natural catastrophe accumulation, pricing of risks, and using global tools as appropriate

for instructions and eligibility criteria

Based on experience and qualifications, the salary range for this position is: $24-$33/Hour

Process policy change requests, renewals, and some new business within knowledge and authority levels.

Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.

1-3 years of related work experience.

Knowledge of underwriting systems and/or various software applications preferred.

Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Extensive knowledge and experience adhearing and applying Federal and State replacement guidelines while underwriting supplemental life and health new business applications

Previous group underwriting skills and experience.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, and/or related field; or equivalent experience in insurance industry.

Under direct supervision, communicates with brokers, agencies, and/or other sources concerning outstanding requirements and procedures.

Conducts research in order to secure additional data needed to make determinations on benefits and rates.

Present risk issues to Management and Senior Underwriters.

Prepare detailed benefit alternatives and values using sound judgement (including reasonability testing), while adhering to business policies and benefit filings.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or similar field.

Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office products or comparable applications.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient computer and time management skills

Complete any special projects or training and development opportunities assigned by management.

Minimum of 3+ years Life, LTC, or Linked Benefit Product underwriting experience including working with agents

Strong medical and financial underwriting knowledge

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have good critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise judgement independently

Works with all underwriting teams to gain knowledge of service and operational process and procedures.

Bachelor's degree, no experience required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
