Historian 2 Jobs

Knowledge of the National Register and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Master of Arts (History, Historical Preservation, Anthropology and/or Archaeology) plus two (2) or more years work experience (may include intern/practicum).
Review and comment on adequacy of a consulting party's identification and recordation of cultural resources.
Use of National Register eligibility criteria to determine a cultural resource’s eligibility.
Issuing determinations of an undertaking’s effect to a property's National Register qualities
Working with property owners to modify an undertaking to avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse impacts to significant cultural resources.

Minimum 7 years of applicable experience
Self-motivated, with excellent writing and communication skills

Strong oral communication skills; basic computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
Previous work experience in Section 106 NHPA compliance
