Ability to perform work in various types of inclement weather and conditions; comfortable working at remote and difficult-to-reach sites

OSHA 10 certification is preferred, or ability to attain upon hire

High School diploma / GED preferred

Attendance in industry-specific training program strongly preferred

Must possess a valid and unexpired and unrestricted driver’s license, along with a clean motor vehicle record

Major Responsibilities of the Position:

Receive service orders and repair tickets from supervisor or other designated employees and performs specified work.

Identify/explore additional revenue generation opportunities.

Uses laptop for various purposes, including but not limited to: checking email, reviewing ticket or circuit information, running test routines.

Work with telecom color-coded wires and cables. Work with basic electricity, as it relates to telecommunications.

Lead by example, demonstrating an attitude of safety, cost control, asset management, and professionalism to all in direct supervision;

Climb towers to lead in installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment based on direction from Foreman and Construction Manager.

Manage assets/equipment such as vehicle, phone, computer, camera, harness, and safety equipment;

Current Com Train or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification Required.

2+ years of current experience in conducting similar like type work.

Prior experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Email.

Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue required

Successful completion and passing score of all mandatory company certifications are required

Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a tower climber preferred

Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products preferred

Military communications, electronics troubleshooting, fiber optics or other related construction experience is a plus.

Knowledge of Anritsu and/or PIM testing preferred.

Lead by example, demonstrating an attitude of safety, cost control, asset management, and professionalism to all in direct supervision.

Installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of wireless equipment based on direction from Foreman and Construction Manager.

Manage assets/equipment such as vehicle, phone, computer, camera, harness, and safety equipment.

OSHA 10/30 certification.Must b able to communicate fluently in English.

Follow daily preparation and planning, by foreman, to enable efficient travel to project location and performance of duties at project location.

Utilize email and telephone as preferred means of corporate communication.

Communicate USAC policy updates to OIT management, as directed by the Department.

One year of experience using Microsoft Excel.

One year of experience with helpdesk ticketing software systems.

One year of experience with telecommunications.

Maintain a Network Cost Worksheet (NCW) for USAC FCC Form 462, as directed by the Department.

Attend all USAC webinars, as directed by the Department.

Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and rescue preferred.

Experience of wireless telecommunications preferred

Assist Crew Foreman to ensure quality service to clients

Installation/De-installation of transmission lines, connectors, antenna, accessories, and perform maintenance on tower equipment

Recognize and perform duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies

Work effectively both individually and with other crew members

Must have 5 years of climbing experience.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy requirements.

Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.

Knowledge on Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+

Responsible for the installation, repair, configuration, test and preventative maintenance of network equipment, telecommunications equipment and computers.

Perform basic software troubleshooting and diagnostics, and assist with the setup and configuration of system hardware and software.

Provide technical support to end-users and install both hardware and software including operating systems, office applications, and computer hardware.
