Technology Private Equity Associate Jobs in Illinois

• 1-3 years of investment banking, management consulting, or buyside experience

• Assist portfolio company management teams with the execution of strategic growth initiatives

• Healthcare services and/or business services industry experience a plus

• Solid financial statement, accounting, financial modeling, and valuation skills

• Strong work ethic and exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities

• Evaluate new transaction opportunities and complete Opportunity Assessments

Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Two years prior analytical experience in investment banking or private equity

Exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills.

Strong accounting, finance, modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Manage and coordinate the pipeline of deal opportunities

Support investments team in sourcing new opportunities

Review investment opportunities and prepare memos for the Investment Committee

Outstanding communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management

Assist portfolio valuations efforts including portfolio optimization, risk analytics, performance attribution, and risk/liability management

Desired Skills and Professional Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of (Accounting/Audit/Tax) industry experience

Prior experience with Tax Accounting/Reporting required

Technical skills; Advanced Excel/VBA and Portfolio Accounting Software (Geneva/Advent/Investran) preferred
