Corporate Finance Associate (Private Equity)

Our client is a $50B Asset Manager/Private Equity Fund currently seeking to add a talented Corporate Finance Associate for one of their new launched Funds. This position has recently been approved due to growth. Ideal individual will straddle the following responsibilities; Financial Analysis, Tax Accounting, Client Reporting, Fund Accounting and Financial Operations, reporting directly to CFO.

Ideal candidate must be confident reviewing and preparing Firm Financials and Accounting/Reporting; opportunity will include the following daily responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with CFO/Controller on preparation of firm reporting and intra-company reconciliation process
• Prepare and review tax waterfall and allocations of investment partnerships.
• Prepare and post all journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow reports.
• Prepare daily net capital computation and daily P&L reporting
• Conduct financial analysis on financial statements in order to isolate troubled assets and develop remediation protocols
• Responsible for implementing efficiencies across all facets of middle-office operations and accounting areas.
• Perform daily general ledger functions such as cash and trading account reconciliation
• Calculate capital calls and distributions as requested by general partner.
• Perform financial statement preparation, cash and position reconciliations, entering income/expense accruals, preparing capital allocation schedules, and sending investor correspondence regarding account balances
• Assist portfolio valuations efforts including portfolio optimization, risk analytics, performance attribution, and risk/liability management

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of (Accounting/Audit/Tax) industry experience
• Technical skills; Advanced Excel/VBA and Portfolio Accounting Software (Geneva/Advent/Investran) preferred
• Prior experience with Tax Accounting/Reporting required
• Outstanding communication skills, proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management
• CPA or CPA in progress highly preferred
