Provide an escalation point for NOC Technician I, to include training and coaching to enhance their problem solving skills.

Take the lead on more difficult tickets that may require more expertise and/or knowledge.

Provides advanced remote support for Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.

Provides advanced remote support for switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls and backup systems.

Provides advanced remote support for printers and other peripherals.

Provide updates to upper management regarding service affecting incidents

Working in a framework of formal Incident Management processes and exposure to company-wide ticketing systems

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the Network Management Operations team.

Provides support to SBA IT Services Center end users, operations personnel, and strategic program management.

Coordinates and manages the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities.

15 years professional experience; including a minimum of 10 years’ experience relevant to the position.

Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.

Plans, organizes, and directs the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of SBA’s network infrastructure.

Log all incidents and service requests in the Service Management system

Create and use Knowledgebase to investigate, diagnose and resolve incidents

Less than 1 years of related experience

Knowledge of computer hardware and software technology, including networking concepts

Strong customer service skills and service orientation

Learn and implement approved IT policies, processes, and procedures

Manage incoming alerts, phone calls, and IT requests efficiently and in a timely matter

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory a plus

Associates Degree in IT related field or IT Certifications preferred

Work with Corporate and Store employee's to troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues

Portray constant professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with corporate employee's, store employees, and IT team members

Experience with network management tools

Experience with Cisco Any Connect VPN and other remote access solution

Experience with managing service requests using a ticketing system

Experience with configuring ACL rules for use with Palo Alto firewalls

Knowledge of multi-area OSPF, BGP, and MPLS environments

Experience with setting up Site-to-Site VPNs utilizing Cisco Firewalls or Cisco Routers

· 3+ years of experience in an engineering and operations management role

· Experience in a technical leadership and management role

· Experience driving hiring, onboarding new engineers and ongoing performance management

· 5+ years of experience in large scale physical network support

· Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

Prior experience with large scale data center operations.

Position Title: Network Operations Center Technician 1

Experience using and operating test equipment (remote) and diagnostic software.

Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of relevant experience in network communications.

One or more years of experience in provisioning and network connectivity activation for Layers 1, 2, and 3.

Experience with TDM/SONET/Ethernet design, engineering, and provisioning.

Experience with digital and SONET Transport - T-1, T-3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48.

Experience installing and configuring CPE/CTE from a variety of vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, and Overture equipment.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations is a plus.

Generate regular reports on network performance, incident metrics, and service level compliance for management and stakeholders.

Proficiency in network monitoring tools and incident management systems.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging professional development and knowledge sharing.

Manage the incident response process, including incident identification, prioritization, resolution, and post-incident reviews.

10+ years of Network Operations Center management experience managing a domestic and/or global networks infrastructure.

10+ years of experience with space, power and facilities management for data centers and third-party colocation facilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Economics, Finance or equivalent practical experience.

10+ years management of network infrastructure and assets including dark fiber, leased assets and network bandwidth.

Thorough experience of optical, IP and FTTH networks including core backbone, peering and caching segments and optical network equipment (Juniper, Nokia).

Thorough experience of modern customer promise equipment (CPE/In Home) solutions.

· Build customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of business and technical requirements.

· Knowledge of routing Protocols-EIGRP,BGP,OSPF

· Knowledge of switching and protocols - VLAN,STP,RSTP,PVST,vPC,OTV,VRRP,HSRP

· Must be able to manage multiple simultaneous implementation plans and project timelines.

· Implement complex solutions desgined by solution engineers. Understand/discuss solution with customer and internal technical Teams.

· Work flexible hours to deploy services within customer timelines.

Mid to Senior-level: Minimum skills level 3-5 years in a comparable position.

Strong verbal & written communication skills are an absolute must.

Network Operations Center (NOC), Command Center or Service Desk experience a must.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, prioritize faults, technically document findings, and respond or escalate accordingly.

Conduct ongoing, real-time monitoring and detection of faults using state of the art monitoring technologies interpreting/documenting data from various sources.

Execution of defined troubleshooting techniques to analyze system incident symptoms and define the resulting client/associate impact.

Must be knowledgeable on the following Network Management Systems: Remedy, HP OpenView, Silvx, Cisco Prime Optical, Netcool, INMS and associated assets.

Executing all reporting functions and data input associated with network management.

Interfacing with functional users as well as remote operations centers in both routine and reactive monitoring situations.

Experience in one or more of the following Crypto devices: KG-340, KG-175A/D, KIV-7, KIV-19.

party clientLeased dark fiber customers providing trouble support, outage communication/coordination and dispatching for any service issues.

This will be 24X7 operations covering 3 shifts.
