Network Operations Center Technician

NO C2C! US Citizens or Green Card Holders ONLY! The role is generally remote, but with some onsite meetings in New Jersey that will require travel - candidate must be in NJ, NY, or PA.

Job Summary:

The role of the Implementation Technician is implementation, modification, and decommissioning of customer environments according to their contracted services. The Implementation Technician is responsible for ensuring network diagrams and other relevant documentation are updated to reflect what is currently in production for the customer environments.

Primary responsibilities include working with solution engineering and network engineering to design and layout customer services. Deploy these services based on the design and document the deployment.

Key Responsibilities

· Take ownership of end to end implementation of services and solutions, achieving successful implementations within proposed Project timelines.

· Implement complex solutions desgined by solution engineers. Understand/discuss solution with customer and internal technical Teams.

· Build customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of business and technical requirements.

· Provide customers with technical guidance that is based on strong technical skills and informed by the customer’s needs.

· Act as a technical advisor and mentor for operational support staff. Communicate the customer’s needs and expectations to internal 365 teams, assist in architecting services.

· Work flexible hours to deploy services within customer timelines.

Knowledge & Technical Requirements

Required:

· Knowledge of routing Protocols-EIGRP,BGP,OSPF

· Knowledge of switching and protocols - VLAN,STP,RSTP,PVST,vPC,OTV,VRRP,HSRP

· Effective use of diagnostic tools to find and plan the resolution of network issues.

Desired:

· Routers: Installation and configuration- Cisco IOS, IOS-XE & IOS-XR, Juniper ACX, M & MX and Nokia SR.

· Switches: - Installation and configuration- Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Arista, Juniper EX

· Firewall: - Installation and configuration- ASA, Checkpoint and Fortigate

· Cisco ACI/APIC Controller

· Load balancer: F5 BIGIP & Pulse secure Configuration

· Ticketing with Service Now

Skills & Qualifications

· Working within a team while working on both individual tasks and team projects.

· Must be able to manage multiple simultaneous implementation plans and project timelines.

· Must be a quick learner.

· Must take initiative and be able to push projects through to completion.

· Must communicate well with other teams within the organization.

· Must maintain technical expertise and stay current with new and emerging networking technologies
