Technical Project Manager – Climate Risk Jobs

Ability to plan and execute data management and analytics

Entry-3 years of experience in climate risk impact modeling in industry preferably in a similar role

Strong knowledge base of ESG and Climate disclosure frameworks including GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP and the IIRC

Strong knowledge of and ability to use tools, regulations, and business practices to assess and control an organization's exposure to risk

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

BA/BS degree and 5 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including staffing, workloads, contracts, and finances under deadlines.

Experience integrating natural, physical, and social sciences, as well as traditional ecological knowledge, to inform applied conservation solutions.

Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance, which may include leading teams where collaborators are not direct reports.

Experience in partnership and relationship development with non-profit partners, community groups, Tribes, and/or government agencies

Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience.

Understanding of global and line of business project and program management standards and methods

Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution

Experience delivering system architecture projects including move to the cloud, a plus

Possession of strong management capabilities

3+ years of experience as a project manager

Experience within the DoD or Air Force

Knowledge of climate challenges facing military installations

Ability to manage a schedule and workload, to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously

• 1- 3 years of experience in a risk management role on a significant project.

Plant maintenance in the field may involve some weekend/holiday responsibilities.

Prior experience in an agricultural/plant science field is preferred.

Applicants should be eager to work and be comfortable with both physical work in the field and indoor/laboratory conditions.

Processing samples in the lab such as soil extractions, chemical analysis, plant grinding, and root washing as we develop the program.

Data analysis – entry of data into spreadsheets, data sorting, data processing

Data reporting using spreadsheet, document, or presentation formats.

7+ years of project management experience with ability to lead multiple projects of various sizes and complexity.

Establish project management objectives, processes, and procedures to promote an efficient, timely workflow to achieve organizational goals.

Lead contract administration (order management, billing and payment), and ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability for project budget.

Annuity, Retirement and Defined Benefit Plan experience strongly preferred.

Strong organizational skills with ability to continuously evaluate and re-prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Solid understanding of risk management practices and ability to operate in a very risk-controlled environment.

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, defining overarching program requirements and success measures

Work with product, strategy, sales and consulting colleagues to identify analytical integration priorities

Work with technical and subject matter experts to define methodology options and solution frameworks

Maintain key decisions and issues log related to technical, model and methodology elements of banking climate risk program

Preparation of client presentations and technical marketing material to support senior team members and sales and client-services teams
