Develop a general knowledge of the entire program’s K-12 curriculum and a very detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible;

Manage regional field trips and make efforts to integrate trips into the curriculum;

Highly qualified and certified to teach High School Spanish in Florida (6-12 English certification required)

Reading endorsement or certification in Florida required

ESOL endorsement or certification in Florida preferred

Strong knowledge of Florida’s RtI and MTSS procedures

Strong technology skills (experience with learning management systems, Microsoft Office programs, and Google Apps preferred)

Pursue a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing pupils, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and laboratory experiences.

Conduct teaching and instructional activities, using educational equipment, materials, books, and other learning aids.

Review, analyze and evaluate the history, background and assessment of pupils in designing instructional programs to meet individual educational needs.

Valid Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate and evidence of at least two years of exemplary experience in the classroom

Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instructions and assessment

Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student's educational program

Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent

Strong skills in classroom presentation and management.

Knowledge of teaching and learning strategies to meet a wide range of student learning styles and abilities.

Perform classroom management duties; enforce rules governing the conduct of students; take appropriate disciplinary action with students when necessary.

Knowledge of the core curriculum areas the teacher is responsible for instructing.

Knowledge of multicultural, gender and disability fair curriculum concepts.

Knowledge of research and trends in teaching and learning styles.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the education management system and special education database, including updating secondary IEP systems as directed;

based on relevant education and experience.

Valid state and/or Department of Education Licensure in Speech Pathology as required; State licensure in California is required.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students while supporting program implementation;

Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a virtual environment;

Teaching licensure or experience preferred for some roles but not required

Previous experience with Concordia Language Villages or other experiential learning, preferred

Be familiar with and abide by Concordia Language Villages’ Personnel Policies.

Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all staff members and participants.

Speak the target language with participants and staff members as much as possible.

Be a steward of your Language Village site, resources, and relationships.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the school’s Learning Management System and special education software;

Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration with Special Education

This position ranges from $66,243.50 - $89,090.14 based on relevant education and experience.

Manage and provide instructional guidance, virtual teaching and general strategies for a caseload of students;

Degree in Special Education or related Education Field

Valid Special Education credential in California
