One year computer experience required.

Good working knowledge of medical terminology.

Experience in surgery scheduling preferred.

Schedules surgical cases to provide efficient operation of the Surgical Services Department.

Obtain and accurately perform record specific information concerning each posted case; notify appropriate staff members of special needs for any case.

Required: Must have a minimum of one year of experience working in a physician office.

Required: Medical Assistant and CPR certification.

Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan.

Completes all necessary documentation in the patient’s medical record in accordance with practice’s charting policy.

Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures.

Arranges for specialized consultations and appointments for testing as ordered by the physicians.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude with clients, employees, and management.

3+ years of patient/client-facing experience.

Strong organizational and personal skills; must have strong work ethic.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to understand, apply, and benefit from technology.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Scheduling patients for surgery, completing facility paperwork.

Scheduling patients for diagnostic tests such as bone scan, MRI, CT, EMG/NCS, ESI.

Reviewing patient’s meds and health history to determine pre-admission testing needs.

Scheduling appropriate medical and cardiac clearances.

Scheduling patient for follow-up appointments and tests.

Required: High School diploma or GED. Evidence of Medical Terminology proficiency.
