High School Diploma or equivalent

Ensures adherence to IKEA’s access control policies by monitoring co-worker entrance

Provides excellent service to customers and co-workers

Performs administrative and reception duties associated with co-worker programs

Dispatches Risk and Compliance Team or EMS as needed

Supports store in basic accounting and record keeping duties

Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.

Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of Guest service while contributing to a positive team spirit.

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

No prior experience or training.

Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and is equipped to answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.

Complete Guest transactions by operating the Point of Sale (POS) software and bagging purchases.

Basic reading, arithmetic, and writing and oral communication skills

Serves Members promptly at Merchandise Pick Up

Executes Footwear Display verification and Floor Sample scans and completes follow-up actions

Locates and pulls merchandise and fixtures to support sales floor resets and performs all aspects of the reset

Completes minor repairs of stock and Member merchandise

Extensive knowledge of Store Support team procedures and policies.

Demonstrates advanced product knowledge, maintains awareness of new products.

Assist in processing sales transactions. Must be knowledgeable of return, markdown/discount, tax, security and packaging policies; and capture customer information.

Minimum of 1-2 years of related Customer Experience, preferably within the luxury retail environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Assist in all guest service areas as called upon – Call Center, Guest Kitchen, Sales Floor, Concierge & Administration.

Maintain a welcoming environment that generates customer traffic and builds loyalty by exceeding customer expectations.

LEARN through our classes and our team’s product knowledge

Stocking, dishwashing or housekeeping experience preferred

EAT authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go counters

SHOP a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade products

Washes and properly stores all dishes, trays, glassware, utensils, cups and small equipment for the department

Checks water temperature during dishwashing operation to ensure proper temperature
