Specimen Receiving And Phlebotomy Lead Jobs

Ensures all warehousing functions are running smoothly and escalates issues to management.

Verifies and enters product and shipment data into inventory management system.

Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.

3+ years of experience working multiple departments in a distribution center.

Previous experience operating material handling equipment.

Prior experience in a lead or mentorship role.

At least two years of related experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Oversee receiving and other warehouse processes to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.

Inspect freight upon arrival, document and signs of damage and resolve freight claims in a timely manner.

Visually monitor inventory levels and communicate low levels to buyers, schedulers and others as necessary.

Answer phone calls, organizational skills, research information, time management, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.

Use effective written and verbal communication skills to cooperatively work with colleagues.

Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills.

Receive specimens and check for accuracy.

Enter specimen data into the Laboratory Information System on a computer.

Checking own work for accuracy.

Prepares and distributes monthly employee performance reports

Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians. Provides input for employee performance evaluations.

Two years’ experience as a phlebotomist or similar healthcare-related experience preferred

The Skills and Experience you need

3+ years’ experience in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment

Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and order processing software; Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.

Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and technical service skills. Ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment under limited supervision.

Perform and/or oversee receiving activities to ensure product received is accurate in description, quantities, and free of damage.

5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory including 3 years in a management, supervisory or lead position.

License, Certification, Education, or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, or Business Management.

Manages and oversees the non-technical day-to-day operations of laboratory business.

Manages and directs the laboratory billing team.

Develops productivity reports and reviews with respective lab manager or director.
