Job Description
Location: Schaumburg, IL


Second Shift - Midnight to 8:30am (Hours can be a little flexable)


Pay: $11-15/hr


Responsibilities


  • Should be flexible to work different hours if needed.
  • Answer phone calls
  • Follow up on missing information by calling, emailing, and faxing clients.
  • Receive specimens and check for accuracy.
  • Enter specimen data into the Laboratory Information System on a computer.
  • Have to be punctual.
  • Prepare urine samples for further laboratory analysis.
  • Document and report any issues that may have arisen during the preparation process.
  • Communicate with the supervisor to solve issues/problems.
  • Checking own work for accuracy.
  • Scan documents
  • Solve problems as they arrive
  • Other duties as specified by supervisor.


Skills Required


  • Must be very comfortable with handling urine samples.
  • Use effective written and verbal communication skills to cooperatively work with colleagues.
  • Must be able to type 35-40 WPM.
  • Must have high attention to detail and be very organized
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Answer phone calls, organizational skills, research information, time management, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
  • Show positive attitude towards colleagues, follow instructions, work as part of a team and willingness to train on the new procedure if need be.
  • Must be able to read, fully understand and follow laboratory standard operating procedures.
