Vitalant is currently seeking a Donor Care Team Lead - RN to help our dedicated team provide blood to local hospitals and patients.
As a Donor Care Team Lead - RN, you support our life saving mission as you perform and supervise all duties related to the efficient, safe, and compliant collection of blood and blood products. You will serve as the operational supervisor managing donor flow and staff assignments. You get to work collaboratively with the donor care team, in alignment with Vitalant’s values, as you oversee and perform donor interviews and whole blood phlebotomy.

Schedule: Sunday-Saturday, 6am-11pm, variable hours

We’re looking for someone who can:
- Assist staff as needed with interviewing and phlebotomy of donors
- Coordinate set up, restocking of supplies and cleanliness of equipment
- Assist the Managers with Donor Care Technician direction, reviews, and improvement plans
- Report on production goals to management team
- Assign daily assignments, breaks and lunches to optimize donor flow
- Ensures all equipment, vehicles, and facilities are acceptable to regulations and standards
- Support Donor Care Technicians with donor questions and eligibility concerns
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills
- Active driver’s license required
- Ability to travel as required
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
- 2 years phlebotomy experience preferred
