Space Operations Engineer Jobs in New Mexico

7-10 years related experience in electronics and/or manufacturing with understanding of work order management and manufacturing performance tracking systems.

Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and provide management with reports to facilitate process improvements.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Manage Disposition requests from manufacturing floor with quality team.

Monitor technician performance and provide training and guidance with Production Lead as needed to maintain certifications and performance standards.

Knowledge of IPC and J-STD soldering standards and circuit card, harness, and system assembly

Assists in developing software, performing analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to manage projects related to space vehicles.

Manages research and development contracts.

Helps organize and manage workshops and technical exchange meetings and participates in them as required.

Scientific/engineering knowledge will be utilized to effectively assist in IP transfer, transition or commercialization.

Software development experience with Python and C++

Working knowledge of orbital dynamics and spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control

Working with the customer to determine requirements

10+ years of radiation effects experience

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experience

Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.

Team-oriented with strong communication skills and work ethic

Experience working in a new product development environment
