Length of Work Year: Full-time: 8 hours, Work Year: A , Work days/year: 244 days*

Maintains all safety and code requirements of the State, local and Board of Education guidelines.

May be required to drive a company vehicle to perform certain job duties to any location within the District.

Position Title: Skilled Maintenance (Glazier, Roofer, Painter & Stadium Maintenance)

Two years maintenance experience in the trade field of posted job.

Accurately orders and accounts for material and labor relative to assignments.

Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase, and maintains the inventory of district-owned hand tools, equipment, hardware, materials and supplies.

Maintains safety and code requirements.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Connecticut P2 and S2 license plus Connecticut Certification to repair and install all back flow controls.

Five (5) year experience at the journeyman level desirable.

Receives oral or written work orders from supervisor.

Studies building plans, blueprints, diagrams or drawings to determine equipment, tools and materials required.

Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space, and parking lot

Ensure building safety rules are implemented and maintained REQUIREMENTS:

Problem-solving skills in maintenance requests

Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed

Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders

Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up
