Associated Degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

Interprets test results and examines for unusual characteristics.

Troubleshoots procedures that may have been compromised, thus determining the potential cause of unexpected results of routine tests.

Communicates with customers and appropriate technical staff regarding testing schedule information, results, or unanticipated discoveries.

Writes procedures, conducts validations, and writes technical reports.

Coordinates, schedules, and budgets for procurement of outside testing: environmental, mechanical, etc.

HS Diploma preferred and up to 1 year experience in related field.

Cleaning and preparation of molds for use with ceramic slurries.

Manages the calibration database for the facility

Manages and coordinates external calibration of electronic equipment in a timely manner

Experience with SPC, Quality Improvement Programs and ISO fundamentals preferred

Plans and performs calibration of plant measurement equipment within company required specifications; makes operating adjustments as required

Support Research and purchase gauging as requested to support new product/process development

Obtains quotes for needed equipment repairs, replacement gaging

Perform fitting, adjusting, calibrating, and aligning to ensure free action and movement of parts, tolerance fits and operating requirements.

Use precision measuring instruments, testing devices and equipment to check parts, unit, fits and operating requirements.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Work from detailed assembly drawings and specifications.

Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions, check and test sub-assemblies and units.

May be assigned to prepare and apply paint according to prescribed methods.

Associate Degree (or equivalent related work experience)

Have a good mechanical background, or aptitude.

Provides support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership.

React to machine break downs with a sense of urgency.

Develops knowledge of functional area policies and procedures and performs routine analytical testing of sample functions.

Establish an understanding of requirements, laboratory processes and procedures, utilization of good documentation practices and other regulatory authority requirements.

Grows knowledge in sampling activities.

Builds knowledge in administration of samples and sample handling within the Quality Control environment.

Participates in the development of procedures, work instructions, and other documentations as required to support Engineering and Production.
