We are looking for a talented Quality Technician (Romer)-1st Shif tto join our team specializing in Quality forour BUSINESS SEGMENT in Mineral Point, WI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using the specified system
- Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment
- Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
- Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product,s and documentation.
- Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.
- Ensures products received or produced meet technical specifications. Works under moderate supervision.Verifies the final quality of products on the production line.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Measurement Science - Analyzes measurement processes throughout the relevant traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty relevant to the appropriate applied measurement science, “Metrology” e.g. Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical and Radiation, and Physical.
- Action-oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measures to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Requires some work experience and intermediate-level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly
- Keep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
- Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics
- Component and assembled part layout in accordance to prints
- Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader
- Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations
- Support Calibration system ( inspection, test equipment, functional gages )
- Line Romer for quality concerns
- Finished goods audit
- Assist with the development of JQA’s (Job Quality Analysis Sheets)
PhysicalRequirements:
- Must be able to lift/push/pull 33 lbs

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
