Overview A Senior Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to public safety, health, and welfare. They investigate and respond to complaints of code violations, inspect properties for compliance, and issue citations and fines when necessary. They also provide guidance and assistance to property owners and tenants to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Detailed Job Description A Senior Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to public safety, health, and welfare. They investigate and respond to complaints of code violations, inspect properties for compliance, and issue citations and fines when necessary. They also provide guidance and assistance to property owners and tenants to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. They must be knowledgeable of applicable codes and regulations, and be able to interpret and apply them to specific situations. Senior Code Enforcement Officers must be able to communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders, and be able to explain code requirements and enforcement actions. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, law, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in code enforcement
• Certification in code enforcement or related field
• Valid driver’s license

• At least 5 years of experience in code enforcement
