Overview The Second Cook is responsible for assisting the Head Cook in the preparation and presentation of meals in a commercial kitchen. This position requires an individual with excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Detailed Job Description The Second Cook is responsible for assisting the Head Cook in the preparation and presentation of meals in a commercial kitchen. This includes preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring that all food is cooked and presented to the highest standards. The Second Cook is also responsible for ensuring that all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed. The Second Cook will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and equipment. Job Skills Required• Culinary skills

Job Qualifications

• ServSafe certification (preferred)

• Knowledge of cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation
Job Experience
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
• Previous experience as a Second Cook
Job Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Cook in the preparation and presentation of meals
• Follow recipes and instructions
• Ensure that all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed
• Clean and maintain the kitchen and equipment
• Monitor food quality and presentation
