Sales Estimating Manager Jobs

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Estimation in machining and steel fabrication.

Strong understanding of business math. Strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude.

Recommend 'make/buy' decisions and offer input regarding vendor performance.

Have experience forecasting jobs in fabrication/manufacturing setting.

The Estimating Manager will report to the Director of Operations

Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Construction Management, Business or other related field required.

Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of professional sales experience, preferably in the golf and/or landscape industry.

Extensive sales training experience preferred.

Effectively and strategically enhance Viridity’s partner and clientele base.

Consistently exceed daily call and appointment targets while using traditional and innovative interpersonal communication tactics.

Understand the scope of the commercial project and its material requirements

Create and submit estimates or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, mechanical contractors, plumbers etc.)

Proven experience as estimator or commercial field experience

Experience in sales and customer service

Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities

Determine key variables for cost and other estimates

Experience. 2 or more years of residential construction and building materials related experience. Experience with managing others.

Special Skills. Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials.

Knowledge. Knowledge of home and construction systems and processes. (Preferred).

Special Knowledge. Understanding of measurements and basic math principles.

Communication. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills (Required).

Education. Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or related field.
