Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms to hotel standards

Necessary Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, bathrooms and hallways under supervision of the housekeeping supervisor.

Represents the hotel to the guests and visitors throughout all stages of the guest's stay.

Assists guests in a courteous, efficient, timely, polite and professional manner.

Assists with maintaining guest, guest room and key security.

Work directly with guests, customers and employees, providing information and assistance on a daily basis.

Report all missing items from room (i.e., irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.

Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.

High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.

Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.

Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.

Load housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies

Strip all beds in checked-out rooms and drop all dirty linens to the laundry before any cleaning is done

Obtain executive housekeeper’s signature on his/her work assignment sheet

Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms to hotel standards

Inspect room for safety hazards & for the operating conditions of equipment

Report lost and found articles and maintenance problems to a supervisor
