Detailed Job Description Revenue Agents are responsible for conducting audits and investigations of taxpayers to ensure compliance with the tax laws and regulations. They review financial records, such as income statements, balance sheets, and tax returns, to determine the accuracy of the information reported. They also interview taxpayers and other individuals to obtain information relevant to the audit. Revenue Agents may also be responsible for collecting delinquent taxes and preparing reports on their findings. Job Skills Required Revenue Agents must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
