Revenue Accountant Jobs

Our client in the Greater Philadelphia area is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join their fast-paced and dynamic team. As a Revenue Accountant, you will support the implementation of process and procedures ensuring the accuracy of accounting and reporting. This is a permanent remote position with excellent growth opportunities within the company!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the deal desk team to ensure proper revenue recognition for complex deals.
• Perform analysis of contra revenue accounts and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial management reports.
• Assist with quarterly and annual audits related to revenue recognition.
• Perform month-end close activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements related to revenue and provide commentary on variances.
• Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring proper supporting documentation.
• Review and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls.

Qualifications:

• Experience with month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience organizing a large volume of information and identifying and deploying automation tools/solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Clear communicator, experience running meetings effectively, and to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
• 3+ years of related accounting experience in a corporate accounting or financial reporting setting.
• Proficiency in the use of database tools and financial reporting packages including Excel.
