Proven experience as a General Manager in the restoration industry, specifically water and fire restoration, with responsibility for multiple locations.

Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills to address complex operational challenges.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Lead and guide location managers to achieve operational goals, meet service level agreements, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of location managers, project managers, and field technicians.

Construction and/or restoration experience is a plus

Ability to travel 4-6 hours for jobs and possibly be away from home for multiple weeks.

Meet deadlines by maintaining/exceeding productivity

Assist PM or APM in the training of agency general labor while on projects

Communicate effectively as needed with all employees to promote a positive environment.

Abide by all safety and company policies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred

• Ability to evaluate, quantify and capture specification requirements within the estimate

• Prior experience working with terms & conditions in construction contracts

• Previous experience maintaining client relationships while performing light business development

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 10 years experience in Restoration/Construction related field.

* Working knowledge of estimating process and current material/labor rates and standards.

1. Technical knowledge of restoration processes including both cleaning and construction techniques.

3. Knowledge and understanding of unit cost estimating processes, ability to read architectural plans and drawings.

3-5 years’ experience in natural resource management and freshwater ecology, similar field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated project management skills including contracting for services, restoration/construction oversight, project and grant reporting.

Knowledge of current trends and practices in conservation, land management and natural resource preservation.

Working knowledge of ArcGIS and basic map making skills.

Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

Knowledge of different aquatic restoration techniques.

High school diploma or GED and 1 year’s training in science-related field or related experience in land management.

Experience using herbicides for land management activities.

1 - 2 years’ experience in land management or related field.

Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

Experience working with or knowledge of natural systems.

Ability to recognize native and non-native plants and animal species to complete preserve management activities.

Demonstrated experience with bottlenose dolphin stocks in LA and nearshore coastal waters.

Experience analyzing and proposing mitigation of human interference / vessel interaction with bottlenose dolphins and other marine life.

Experience detecting infectious and non-infectious sources of disease in marine mammals.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written are necessary.

Must possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to be flexible and work efficiently to handle projects under short deadlines.

Must be professional and tactful in order to resolve customer complaints, conflicts between employees, and insurance adjuster concerns.

Requires good physical health since the work requires some physical lifting, exertion, and work in the field with crews.
