Job Description

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for making contact with clients (i.e.: Insured, Adjuster, Attorney, Independent Adjuster, Public Adjuster, Engineer and Insured Contractor in an effort to set up appointment for inspection purposes:

a. Must maintain professional relations with clients.

b. Must coordinate projects with clients.

c. Establish invoicing by utilizing consultant time sheet.

2. Required to work within corporate guidelines regarding communication of information as needed by other departments in the company.

a. Monitor job files through completion.

b. Provide status updates as required.

c. Provide follow up as required/necessary.

3. Responsible for inspecting properties and obtaining photographs, measurements, scope and any necessary readings for moisture levels for damages to determine/make evaluation on opinion of cause of loss:

a. Preparation of written correspondence in a report format to client regarding same.

b. Research and provide supporting documentation for findings/conclusion.

c. Label photographs for client.

d. Providing detailed sketch of property for client.

4. Must assess repairs necessary on damaged structures in preparation of providing an estimate for necessary repairs as well as a sketch.

a. Repair estimates/Replacement estimates utilizing a unit cost estimating process and/or costs per measurements process.

b. RCV/AC estimates

c. Means SF Costs for re-build.

5. Utilize working knowledge of construction and cleaning procedures necessary for completion of reports, estimates and providing opinions on Residential and Commercial properties.

6. Expected to meet or exceed company sales goals each month.

7. Required to work with the Insurance Industry/Legal Industry to accommodate each client’s specific requirements for cost estimates, repair parameters and payment procedures.

8. Required to obtain and maintain all company certifications through webinars, seminars, attending classes, etc. while keeping certification in good standing at all times.

9. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle and keeping the vehicle in a good, clean condition at all times.

10. Must attend all company meetings required of the position.

11. Expected to report to work with a professional appearance.

12. Expected to be aware of and give instruction concerning safety requirements. Should be HBV vaccinated (at company expense).

13. Required to update/maintain company computer, phone and GPS system:

a. Keep computer in good condition and current with updates and price lists.

b. Keep company cell phone in good condition and current with updates.

c. Keep GPS system in good condition and current with updates.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Graduate, minimum, college degree preferred.

* Minimum of 10 years experience in Restoration/Construction related field.

* Working knowledge of estimating process and current material/labor rates and standards.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, MENTAL PROCESSES AND TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to gain access to damaged structures, residential and commercial.

2. Must be able to ascend and descend stairways and ladders up to 40 feet.

3. Required to access roofs for inspection purposes.

4. Required to bend, kneel and reach areas from floor to ceiling to take measurements for estimate.

5. Required to drive a motor vehicle.

Mental Processes:

1. Technical knowledge of restoration processes including both cleaning and construction techniques.

2. Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communications. Proper use of and knowledge of legally-binding contractual forms and releases.

3. Knowledge and understanding of unit cost estimating processes, ability to read architectural plans and drawings.

4. Must have a valid driver's license.

Tools and Equipment:

1. Able to use Delmhorst meter, Hygrometer, Hydrosensor, and measuring tools.

2. Understand equipment used in construction, cleaning and drying procedures.

3. Able to access and use Computer Estimating Package and other equipment and software

requirements of the Insurance Industry.

Working Conditions:

1. Required to travel to damaged properties approximately 70% of the time.

2. Exposed to extreme conditions on location including external weather conditions and internal, damaged conditions and to be properly prepared for same.

3. Depending on location, work from home environment may be a consideration.

Must be well versed in all phases of construction, structural drying and loss damage mitigation. Must also be proficient in Xactimate with a minimum of Level 2 certification required.
