Respectful Workplace Investigator Jobs

Preference for individuals who have experience with conducting financial, expense, and/or compliance investigations and handling threat management situations

Exceptional writing skills and the ability to consistently produce high-level written product

The experience and confidence to make difficult decisions and to exercise expert judgment when working with disputed issues

The ability to recognize and put aside personal biases, to see different perspectives, and to conduct investigations in an objective manner

Enthusiasm for working with volumes of data and for identifying trends and patterns

Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with the complaint process.

Interview and Documentation Process (Complainants, Witnesses, Respondents, and other related individuals, such as agents, managers, and attorneys)

3 years of experience with working in employee relations, human resources, legal, or commensurate environment required

College Degree in related field or equivalent experience

Previous experience working in a production and/or union environment is beneficial, but not required

Must have computer skills in Word and Outlook

Independently lead and manage workplace investigations in an empathetic, fair, neutral, thorough and timely manner.   

Navigate a complex global organization structure with excellent communication skills. 

Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.

3+ years experience as a practicing attorney in the areas of employment law or workplace investigations

Prior experience at a large international organization working on employment or investigation issues.

Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices

Minimum 3-5 years of employment law, employee relations or relevant work experience

Understanding and experience with relevant employment laws, employee relations principles, and neutral investigation processes

Direct or indirect experience with Workplace Investigation

Review, interpret, analyze and evaluate witness statements, documents and physical evidence collected during investigations

Conduct investigations from intake to completion, including witness interviews

Draft detailed investigative reports, updates, documents, and correspondence

Proven years of increasing HR or Legal responsibility (i.e. handling employee relations, compensation, recruiting, performance management, Labor & Employment experience).

Bachelor’s Degree in, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Labor Employment or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Partner with legal and HR community to understand trends or changing legal requirements

Assist in education and training on regulatory and compliance issues for HR, working with internal and external experts

Proven communication, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
