5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney and/or judicial law clerk

Experience in student affairs and civil rights law, higher education law, and/or general civil litigation

Well-developed analytic and writing skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to handle counseling matters independently

Experience advising on corporate or governance matters

D.C. bar membership or immediate eligibility for such membership

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Experience in neuroscience and using animal models

Perform Zebrafish breeding and conduct behavioral experiments.

Conduct two-electrode voltage clamp electrophysiology experiments

Perform standard molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, including plasmid amplification, subcloning, molecular mutagenesis, PCR, and protein expression and purification

Perform duties as assigned to support the research activities in the lab

Research experience - with knowledge of writing research reports, annotated bibliographies and data analysis

Advanced research and computer skills

Ensures query resolution with proper physician and clinical study team oversight within site- and sponsor-specific time requirements

Assures ongoing compliance with all departmental, institutional, and federal requirements and regulations

Works in compliance with Human Subject Protection regulations, patient confidentiality/HIPAA requirements, and Good Clinical Practice
