A Research Scientist should have a record of academic excellence, including demonstrated experience in most of the following areas:

Contribute to the direction of a talented small team with your expertise and ideas;

Create mathematically principled solutions to some of the world’s most challenging information science problems;

Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment;

Implement high-performance software spanning the spectrum from tactical systems to web applications;

Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets

LOCATION: Remote-United States only (TimeZone: PST/CIST | Full day overlap)

Work closely with software engineers, applied scientists, product managers, and designers.

Experience with data visualization tools

Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for numbers

Proficient written communication in a remote team setting, familiarity with Slack and Google Docs

4. Manages and oversees ongoing research projects. (10%)

11. Maintains all research investigator training and requirements through eRA commons and COMIRB, including CITI trainings. (5%)

1. Maintains active awareness of local, regional, and national funding priorities. (10%)

6. Engages in direct mentorship of junior investigators, students, personnel and staff. (10%)

9. Supervises research staff. (10%)

10. Works collaboratively with SPARO. (5%)
