Engages and manages consultants and independent adjusters as required. Monitors the costs to ensure they are reasonable and necessary.

Must possess stellar oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of commercial property claims adjusting methods (coverage evaluation, loss assessment, etc.), legal/regulatory environment, financial concepts.

Conducts a prompt, thorough and fair investigation by obtaining relevant facts to determine coverage, origin, and extent of property losses.

Keeps the cedent adjuster and others informed about the claim's status with clear, timely and accurate written/oral communications.

Affirms or denies coverage of the claim based on the facts and the policy terms and conditions and provides recommendation.

At least 4 years’ Experience in Oracle hospitality property management systems (Opera V5, Opera Cloud, Oracle Identity)

Project management skills are a plus

Responsible for supporting the vendor-provided Opera property management systems (PMS) and payment systems

Communicate with hotel ownership/management to ensure deadlines are met

Proficient in network, desktop, peripherals, protocols, communications, and other property management systems.

Compensation offered for this role is $52,500.00-$83,250.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.

Previous experience in construction, restoration, or insurance experience a plus

Have prior experience working with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)

Prior experience using estimating software like Xactimate

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Evaluate damages remotely using digital tools, and handle claim settlements and/or negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.

This position requires the ability to work in a remote environment free from distraction.

Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across our operating territories, or other equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims, or other equivalent experience.

Compensation offered for this role is $60,000.00-$80,775.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.

Have 2+ years of previous experience in a related field (i.e., construction, restoration, mitigation)

The candidate must demonstrate good judgment in making decisions, good communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.

The candidate should have a working knowledge of company commercial policies and coverages.

Continuing insurance education is desired and may be obtained through IIA and/or CPCU or other accredited insurance education provider.

Personal and commercial property losses including structure, contents, ALE, scheduled property and business income losses requiring an on-site investigation

Property limited handled lawsuits including attending pre-trials, mediations, arbitrations or trial when required.

The internal candidate must have achieved an overall performance rating of at least ‘‘Developing’’ in the last two annual performance reviews.

Meet time requirements of the policy and fair claims handling practices.

May participate in quality assurance file review sessions and serve as a technical resource for less experienced claims personnel.

Provide guidance to inexperienced team members and may act as a mentor to other entry level adjusters

Minimum of 2 years of property claims experience.

Ideal candidate will reside in the Texas area.

Conduct on-site appraisal or direct independent adjuster to determine facts relevant causation, damages and exposure.

Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgment.

Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems and analytical skills.

Location will be remote/virtual. No travel involved.

Investigate and determine coverage of loss and adjusts all elements of Property Loss claims of moderate-high severity.
