Minimum of two years' experience in accounting, banking, medical office, billing, or insurance account follow-up

Knowledge of insurance processes and billing guidelines regulations preferred

Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with various levels of management

Ensuring proficient knowledge of the operations of the functional areas

Two to three years of applicable experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Proficient systems knowledge for data mining and user proficiency

High organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently.

Working knowledge of clinical policies.

Understanding of the managed care industry and market conditions.

Excellent and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Clinical experience, nursing, therapy, social work background

1-3 years professional experience in healthcare, and working knowledge of health care reimbursement systems and methodologies

Interpret and deliver business requirements covering reimbursement updates and payment policy changes and enhancement features for translation into software design specifications.

Coordinate with developers, QA, data, client service and other team members to ensure that business requirements are implemented accurately and timely

Ability to collect, research, and understand diverse information, and translate it into clear and concise written requirements.

Experience in an agile systems development life cycle (SDLC) environment.

Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access) software applications

High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent experience

1+ years of claims processing review experience within hospital, clinic, primary care, or doctor's office.

1+ years of electronic payment handling experience

Posts payments, rejections and LOAs to accounts

Makes corrections to misapplied payments

Experience in issue management pertaining to insurance underwriting required.

Sources and hosts speakers for compliance webinars and presentation of any in-person compliance-related educational programs for NAMIC members.

Property/casualty compliance procedure experience preferred.

Prior experience in advocacy before government organizations preferred.

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert and thought leader on legislative and regulatory developments at all levels of government.

Leverages expertise in data science and data governance to participate and augment NAMIC objectives for member data centers and benchmarking.
