Regional Political Director Jobs

Handle immediate political and rapid response matters that arise with skill and judgment.

Direct and manage any electoral activity through P4AD Action if/when needed.

Provide direction and guidance, setting priorities, delegating appropriately, communicating effectively, facilitating knowledge sharing, setting goals and objectives, and coaching/mentoring where appropriate.

Manage an additional team member depending on the needs and resources of the organization.

Manage relationships with political strategists, consultants and/or other as needed.

Minimum 5+ years experience with non-profits, Capitol Hill, political advocacy or media campaigns, or similar required.

Identify, develop, and implement training tools for members to strengthen their political education and advocacy skills.

Manage financial responsibilities in a timely manner, including program budget review and development.

Manage contracts with vendors, as needed.

Experience in a leadership role in representing an organization on issues of importance to immigrants, refugees and/or communities of color.

Experience effectively supervising and developing staff.

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and to adjust to frequently changing demands.

·Strong analytical skills to offer insights about trends, policy, elections, and legislation.

·Preferred 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the civic and political sphere and/or government

·Highly skilled in writing and communicationstalking points, speeches, presentations, and reports

·Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to network outside of work

·Reports to the Consul General on political and pertinent matters in our region

·Cultivates already established relationships with elected and appointed officials and their offices

Develop and manage DNC political relationships and advise on electoral strategy and resource allocation in your states;

Positive attitude, open communication skills, and dedication to put the team before self;

Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills;

Brainstorm ideas with other reporters, editors, photographers, video producers, and social media managers.

3-5 years of experience in political journalism

Deliver exclusive stories and features on Congress; campaigns; and divisions inside the two major political parties.

Break news that advances major stories of the day.

Investigate and uncover news about Washington’s worst actors

The ability to juggle several stories and projects at the same time and keep a cool head under pressure

Minimum three to five years in news, with previous newsroom or assignment desk experience.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to keep calm under pressure.

Strong writing skills. Understanding of CNN’s newsgathering process is an advantage.

BA/BS in journalism, politics or a related field preferred or equivalent in experience.

Coordinates logistics and live shot specifics.

Distributes editorial information to the network from field teams.

Responsible for development, oversight and management of the union's political and policy/legislative work.

Full-time (40 hours), on-site schedule, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST or CST!

Gathers, selects and analyses information contained in communications and publications received from different sources, including the press.

Monitors national and regional level political developments that could become a threat to international peace and security.

Provides technical and substantive back up in the implementation of mandates of the Security Council.

Selects, classifies and stores in computerised databases information relating to the Security Council, its subsidiary organs and Panels of Experts

Participates in missions of the Security Council and its subsidiary organs to countries within assigned area of responsibility.

Participates in provision of secretariat services to the Security Council, its subsidiary bodies, conferences, meetings, and/or special missions.
