They are responsible for ensuring that all referrals are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Referral Specialist will work with the patient’s primary care provider to determine the best course of action for the patient. They will also be responsible for obtaining the necessary paperwork and information from the patient and the referring provider. The Referral Specialist will then contact the appropriate healthcare provider to arrange the referral.
