At least two (2) years of experience working with youth, with supervision experience preferred.

General knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access, Adobe PageMaker and Photoshop preferred.

Get a Y membership. Our seasonal staff receive an individual, adult membership for the time of their employment.

Maintaining a safe and enjoyable camp experience for all participants.

Manages all subordinate staff and volunteers.

Salary Range $19.00 – $20.00 depending on experience

Maintaining all written reports (i.e. incident reports, attendance, etc.).

Serving as a liaison between the community and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Attends and reports at all weekly staff meetings.

Work under the leadership of a Recreation Department Facility Manager, Camp Director, and Camp Unit Leaders.

Adhere to a provided schedule of activities including: swimming, arts and crafts, games, sports, and educational enrichment.

CPR and First Aid certification.

Assist in running an all-day summer camp program at a City recreation center.

Work with an assigned group of 10-12 campers; ages may range from 6 to 12.

Monitor the safety and wellbeing of participants.

RIFLERY COUNSELOR for CHILDREN'S SUMMER DAY CAMP

certified school teachers and coaches.

3 or more years’ experience in recreation, preferably in higher education.

Work closely with the Associate Director to properly manage all fiscal aspects of the sport club program.

Understand and comply with Princeton University Finance and Treasury Office and Athletics/Campus Recreation policies.

Monitor inventory and order as necessary, all sport and other equipment to complete job responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Preferred certification as an Instructor level to teach CPR/First Aid/AED
