Part-time, Seasonal Employment

The anticipated start date for selected candidates will be Monday, April 24, 2023.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation is currently seeking Recreation Assistants for all of their Summer Camp locations who will be responsible for performing duties of summer day camp assistant (summer only), gym and/or field supervisor duties at centers that have a gym or field(s) that are located on or near the recreation center site.

Summer Camps will be held at the following location:
  • Cliffdale Recreation Center
  • Stedman Recreation Center
  • Massey Hill Recreation Center (Summer Playground Camp)
  • Kiwanis Recreation Center
  • Stoney Point Recreation Center
  • E.E. Miller Recreation Center
  • J.S. Spivey Recreation Center (Summer Playground Camp)
  • Lake Rim Recreation Center
  • College Lakes Recreation Center
  • Westover Recreation Center
  • J.D. Pone Recreation Center
  • Pine Forest Recreation Center
  • Smith Recreation Center (Summer Playground Camp)
  • Eastover-Central Recreation Center
  • E.E. Miller Recreation Center will offer Summer Day Camp June 12 - July 14

The Summer Day Camp program allows participants to experience a summer of organized adventure and fun consisting of activities, crafts, games and a visit to a FCPR pool each week. The program meets on weekdays from 7:30am to 6:00pm, and is designed for children who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years old.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To apply for this position, candidates are required to be 18 years of age or older.

From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving history check.
