1-2 years of experience in retail experience in a grocery or retail environment; natural foods background is a plus.

1-2 years of experience supervising others preferred.

Identifies current and future client requirements by maintaining strong product knowledge and market trends.

Manage point of sale system accurately and in a timely manner

Manage the storage of all inventory, both on the sales floor and in back stock

Collaborate with Accounting, Purchasing, General Manager and any applicable associates to maintain and implement inventory control changes

Former retail experience with inventory and point of sales systems, college hours preferred

Accurately input all incoming inventory

Inform management if problems arise

High school diploma preferred but not required, and previous fast paced manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Scan materials with a scan gun

Supply materials to other departments/team members

Create and maintain inventory/material data

Support other departments as necessary

Required to have 1-3 years of experience in a related field.

Have sound technical skills, logical ability, and strong problem analysis and resolutions skills.

Have good interpersonal, as well as strong written and oral communications skills.

Works closely with the Re-Buyer and A/P to resolve conflicts with receipts or invoices.

Assists Re-buyer with faxing, filing, and calling suppliers to follow up on timely receipts.

Works closely with Maintenance and Warehouse to package and ship items for repair.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker Characteristics

Maintains area for sale items to ensure convenience for the management team (displays, etc.)

Performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience.

Keep training certifications current, i.e. forklift certifications.

High School or equivalent experience.

Six months to one year of similar or related experience.

Process vendor claims, internal department claims, delivery receipts for Centergate, and inventory PO’s

Credit memos into various systems: CT, oracle, Infoship, Mapper and Moxie systems

Assist with driver issues/changes to port security

Receive and log incoming deliveries / outgoing returns & pickups per department requirements and/or BEO/Vendor/Dept Manager written request.

Alert management and seek advisement regarding any shortages in expected deliveries, unmatched invoices and other questionable circumstances.

Sign and code invoices per department requirements.

Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.

Coordinate traffic logistics of loading dock area.

Verify deliveries are per specifications and quality levels.

Interviewing vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services and pricing

Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company

Verifying purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products

Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors

Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories.

Communicates cycle count variances with management

Regularly brings areas of concern to management's attention

Brings safety issues to the attention of the Manager

Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices and protocols

Knowledge of dimensional lumber, panels, and other building products

Ensure accuracy of item description, UPC numbers and counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Ensure accuracy when filling out Manifest/Bill of Lading and maintain IBT Seal Log for both incoming and outgoing deliveries.

Record and file all incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders.

Ensure Goods Received Book (GRB) and any Adjustment Vouchers (AVs) are current and accurate.

Ensure all Driver Logs are maintained and filed appropriately
