Manager, Corporate Transportation - Remote

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain/logistics preferred. Open to experience in lieu of degree.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to formulate and implement transportation related procedures in support of company revenue goals and customer service objectives.
• Demonstrate superior knowledge of and experience with the transportation industry and logistics.
• Performing regular investigations into transportation issues to verify and resolve customer and shipper complaints with a root cause approach.
• Demonstrate excellent business acumen and an ability to manage cross-functionally through influence.
• Experience transacting, planning and/or scheduling in an Enterprise Resource Planning system (Infor M3, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other similar system)
• Support business acceptance testing and system validation activities as requested in the transportation and warehousing areas.
• Own relationships with and manage any direct carrier partnerships responsible for shuttle services, and any other movement of materials as required by the organization. (Including Truckload, Multi-modal, Air, Rail, LTL, and Parcel Services)
• Developing key performance indicators for on time percentage and financial performance against budget, measuring and analysis of carrier/program results against published goals, reporting results in various formats including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Power BI and participating on various business review platforms to Departmental and Executive Leadership teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically strong in Excel.
• Power BI experience is a plus.
• Monitor and advise leadership of trends, industry news, and forecasting in critical areas impacting the transportation market, including but not limited to fuel, load/truck ratios, modal opportunities, pricing and volume shifts, strikes, and significant M&A activity.
• Daily tracking and tracing of orders for raw materials, ingredients, discreet packaging, finished goods intercompany transfers, and customer delivered loads.
• Lead or participate in improvement projects as requested.
• Travel to Eagle operations and office locations, as requested, to support problem investigation, training and auditing of Eagle practices and to support project activity.
• Own relationships with and manage 3PL/4PL Transportation partners responsible for providing asset based and brokerage-based transportation services across the organization. (Including Truckload, Multi-modal, Air, Rail, LTL, and Parcel Services)
• 5+ years of experience as a transportation manager, preference for food CPG experience.
• Lead the organization of and analyze large sets of data in the transportation area in support of annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, and data trend analyses.
• Own Transportation vendor invoice audit, reconciliation, recording, challenges and approval.
• Develop and publish Ad Hoc and/or periodic reports that inform the organization of any current or potential for any future issues.
• Own Transportation budget and budgeting process with 3PL/4PL Transportation partners with cross-functional support and requirements provided by leadership and finance operations dedicated partners.

• Technically Competent – understands supply chain processes, 3PL service and management concepts, development, analysis, and use of KPI reports to drive for results.
• Travel: must be able to travel at least 1-2 times per month to meet with plant, vendors, and remote staff. Travel needs will vary through any given year depending on business needs and not consistently demand 1-2 times per month. During onboarding (first 90 days) travel requirements will be higher (up to 3 trips per month).
