Quality Control Lab Technician Level Ii Jobs in Ohio

Minimum high school diploma / general education degree (GED) required. Some college/technical school/related experience desired.

Obtain required certifications in a timely manner.

Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific duty.

Report any problems to your manager.

Safely operate various type of equipment related to work requirements.

Must have valid driver’s license and meet the qualifications of the fleet safety program.

Creates and update work instructions and procedures for product certification personnel.

May prepare product certification packages for submittal to customers.

Knowledgeable of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality field.

Intermediate computer skills including job specific programs, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.

Major duties and responsibilities including but are not limited to:

Working knowledge / experience with laboratory equipment (balances, ovens, autoclaves, UV-Vis spectrometer, FTIR, column chromatography, etc)

Laboratory experience related to analytical chemistry (Laboratory courses as part of a science or engineering degree may qualify)

Working knowledge of systems for testing for total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), endotoxin)

Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab)

High School degree or an equivalent combination of training and work experience preferred.

Responsible for testing Barnhill-produced asphalt mix at any of company s asphalt plants in accordance with NCDOT specifications.

Oversee plant calibrations required by NCDOT specifications.

This job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting.

Required regular lifting of 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
