Orano TN is seeking a Quality Technician II-III in our Kernersville, NC location. This position is responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The Quality Technician conducts surveillances or reviews/analyzes quality data and documentation and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, including preparing deliverable records and may supervise and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position be assigned a Documentation/Verification function.
Major duties and responsibilities including but are not limited to:
- Creates and update work instructions and procedures for product certification personnel.
- May prepare product certification packages for submittal to customers.
- May prepare data package files and generate release document for materials, components, and assemblies.
- Performs documentation reviews to ensure supplier and manufacturing compliance with specifications, drawings and purchase order.
- Reviews fabrication and assembly documentation for compliance with specifications and procedures.
- May prepare quality standards documentation for approval.
- Administers and perform minor trouble shooting for quality database system.
- Reviews and recommend disposition of procedures and specifications from other departments.
- May train other quality employees.
- Routinely participate in internal, customer, supplier, and NRC audits as needed.
- To play an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and comply with all applicable safety and health rules.

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.
- Intermediate computer skills including job specific programs, spreadsheets, word processing, etc.
- Ability to read and understand procedures, specifications and drawings and to evaluate documentation for compliance with design specifications.
- High School Diploma and minimum 5 years related experience or Associate's Degree in a Technical discipline + 2 years related experience. Manufacturing experience in a nuclear fuel facility strongly preferred.
- Knowledgeable of a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality field.
