ANCC certification in psychiatric and mental health nursing as a nurse practitioner

Graduate of a Master’s Program in Nursing

Completion of appropriate psychopharmacology courses and current prescriptive authority in Massachusetts.

Excellent interpersonal and management skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.

Develop collaborative working relationships with ancillary services such as, Research Management, Corporate Sponsored Research and Licensing, Purchasing, Partners International Office, etc.

General knowledge of NIH and other federal, state and foundation regulations and requirements.

Independently resolve financial and grant issues, escalating complex or problematic situations including unsustainable spending behavior to Research Admin Manager.

Ensure annual certifications / audits (effort, vaccination, network security) are completed. This includes annual trainings for research staff.

5+ years of experience in medical office management, with experience in psychiatry preferred

Oversee all aspects of office operations, including staff management, appointment scheduling, financial reporting, and patient relations

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of medical billing and insurance practices

Overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of psychiatry practice.

Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA

A current Texas RN license and CPR certification is required.

Ensures the clinic flow runs smoothly and provides supervision of the assigned Medical Assistant.

Works closely with the assigned medical assistant to ensure all chart preparation is complete and ready for clinic.

Works closely with assigned scheduler to ensure referrals, follow up appointments, diagnostic tests, etc. are scheduled accordingly per medical provider/mid-level orders.

Calls-in prescriptions and refills for patients.

Obtains prior authorization as needed on medications, diagnostic tests, and other medical procedures.

Shift Schedule: 8 hours/Day; 40 hours/week

Active RN license in TX

1 year of inpatient psych exp

Knowledge of data management programs.

Excellent interpersonal skills are required for working with the study teams.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and to interpret the acceptability of data results.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.

High degree of computer literacy.

Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred Proven written and verbal communication skills

Consult with physicians, nurses, as well as medical office staff to appropriately promote product and provide product and patient education

Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred, experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred

Experience successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus
