Production Manager Quarry Jobs

Efficient management of all mine/quarry employees. production, equipment maintenance, etc. of a 1,000,000 + TPY

Manage a limestone open pit & underground mining operation with approximately 25 hourly employees and four salaried direct reports

Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development through training

Minimum of 3 years of experience in personnel supervisory role.

Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus

Working knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles

Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested by the Plant Manager/ Superintendent/ Foreperson.

Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Maintains awareness of OSHA (Occupational Safety & Healthy Administration) and/ or MSHA (Mining Safety & Health Administration) regulations.

Assist the Service Experience Manager with financial aspects and budgets to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the organization

Demonstrate ownership of disciplines and process adoption with technology and innovation that enhance the customers experience

Assist with protecting security and privacy of customer information including education, compliance and disposition of issues

Perform all Service Experience, Cash Room and Communication procedures as applicable

Strong organizational, delegation and follow-through skills

Clear and effective written and verbal communication as well as strong interpersonal skills

Work with production manager to prepare annual budgets.

Assist production manager in preparing short term and long term mine planning.

This is not a work from home position and travel is not required.

Conduct daily supervision of all aspects of the mining operation and mining personnel.

Maintain desired level of production and product quality.

Development and train all quarry personnel.

Experience as a skilled stone cutter.

Experience in supervising or leading quarry operations for a dimensional stone production facility.

Extensive knowledge of and training for MSHA Part 46.

Must hold a Surface Blaster Certification.

Knowledge of all local and state codes that pertain to the position’s area of responsibility.

Previous experience operating a hydraulic stone breaker/splitter.

Capital project engineering or management experience

Ensures Merchandise Movement Process is flawlessly executed

Responsible for merchandising, signing, and resets in Now, Style, Room, Tech, and Party

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role

Previous retail management experience at an equivalent sales volume store

Excellent organizational, analytical, and management skills

Experience as a hands-on leader who loves being on the sales floor to motivate, coach, and help teams succeed

5+ years background experience in quarry operations and personnel management.

Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations, working in tandem with the company Safety Manager.

Work in coordination with the Area Production Manager and Area Sales Manager to determine required inventory and production demands.

Strong team-building and coaching skills.

An ability to build staff support and exhibit negotiation skills.

Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, written (report writing), and presentation.

Must be a proven successful quarry manager with experience in aggregate processing and manufacturing or related
