Procurement Manager – Food Sourcing Jobs

Minimum ten (10) years of experience including practice and leadership of category management in blue-chip procurement organizations.

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Master’s or law degree preferred OR six (6) years of experience in a directly related field.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Experience in deploying and utilizing structured strategic sourcing methodology and leading cross functional teams.

Experience in managing large category spend.

Collaborate with Sourcing Leadership, Sourcing Managers, Sourcing Specialists, and Buyers to ensure work is properly aligned to resources

5+ years of experience with strategic sourcing / commodity management in automotive, electronics, or industrial equipment

Technical knowledge of procurement, logistics, and project management

Lead in developing processes for spend management, including the selection and implementation of spend analytics software.

Experience working in technology-intensive environments; strong negotiation and analytical skills

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, finance or related discipline

Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, including contract negotiation and vendor management

Strong understanding of licensing requirements, regulations, and certifications related to vendor products/services

Solid experience in negotiating contracts, particularly with Fortune 500 companies, preferably in the tech or fintech industry

Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive favorable outcomes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset

Be a Category Manager for Insurance Operations, Delegate Vendor and possible other Procurement categories.

Implement the review of cost-saving opportunities with Executive Sponsors, Business Leads and Finance

In collaboration with the partners, identify the our requirements to be included in contract documentation

Develop and monitor spend reporting with Finance and Business Leads

6+ Years Sourcing and Procurement Experience

Proven negotiation and time management skills.

Maintain current knowledge of food and nutrition procurement laws, rules, and regulations.

Support field managers with all procurement business needs including problem resolution.

Manage and lead supply and commodity risk strategy and mitigation plans for designated sub-categories, including accountability for coverage strategy.

Manage purchase price variance (PPV) for pertinent commodities in the category.

Considerable knowledge of the practices, procedures and regulations relating to institutional food service or food industries is highly desired.
