Efficient management of all mine/quarry employees. production, equipment maintenance, etc. of a 1,000,000 + TPY

Manage a limestone open pit & underground mining operation with approximately 25 hourly employees and four salaried direct reports

Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development through training

Minimum of 3 years of experience in personnel supervisory role.

Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus

Working knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles

Experience as a skilled stone cutter.

Experience in supervising or leading quarry operations for a dimensional stone production facility.

Extensive knowledge of and training for MSHA Part 46.

Must hold a Surface Blaster Certification.

Knowledge of all local and state codes that pertain to the position’s area of responsibility.

Previous experience operating a hydraulic stone breaker/splitter.

Capital project engineering or management experience

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

5+ years background experience in quarry operations and personnel management.

Follow and enforce Mine Safety and Health Administration rules and regulations, working in tandem with the company Safety Manager.

Work in coordination with the Area Production Manager and Area Sales Manager to determine required inventory and production demands.

Strong team-building and coaching skills.

An ability to build staff support and exhibit negotiation skills.

Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, written (report writing), and presentation.

Must be a proven successful quarry manager with experience in aggregate processing and manufacturing or related

Background in or knowledge of heavy machinery is helpful

Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or Business Management. Direct experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with good negotiation, planning, scheduling and people management ability.

Strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks

ACM plant operational and maintenance knowledge and experience.

Basic PC skills using Microsoft Office Application. Prior SAP experience helpful, but not required..

Manage logistics and personnel for the shipment of finished stone products via truck and rail.
