Phone Triage Nurse Jobs

Assume nursing case management responsibilities for designated clients.

Solid nursing background, concentration, or willingness to obtain advanced knowledge in GI specialty.

Priority setting, application of judgment, communication skill and tact.

Five (5) years nursing experience.

Maintain accurate and complete records, documenting all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient

Comply with adverse event reporting and patient privacy policies.

Responsible for telephone assessment of patient needs

Reviewing and authorizing/denying prescription refills

Responds to and prioritizes incoming patient messages and test results

Functions as a liaison between providers and patients

Skill in nursing practices within the scope of responsibilities assigned to this role

Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to perform job duties in a professional manner at all times.

Ability to work remotely part time

Reproductive health care or primary care experience highly desirable

Excellent decision-making abilities both collaboratively and independently

Nursing certification in specialty area or in nursing management/leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC).

At least 5 years of experience as a registered nurse.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.

Current AHA certification(s) relevant to clinical practice area (as outlined in the RN Clinical Nurse job description).

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Previous Telephone Triage Experience (preferred)

1 year related Experience in a Clinic or Acute Hospital Nursing Setting (preferred)

1 year Experience in Women’s Health and/or Labor & Delivery Specialty (preferred)

Knowledge of nursing processes, health care systems, structure, functions and community resources.

Excellent clinical skills occasionally assisting with rooming patients and procedures.
