Patient Safety Coordinator Jobs in Utah

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Location: It will require travel to one or more of the Ascension hospitals.

Coordinate quality, risk and/or patient safety aspects of The Joint Commission continuous readiness program.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.

Support activities related to quality and risk reduction initiatives and compliance with patient safety standards.

May assist in required training, emergency management, and safety related issues. May fill in for the Safety Manager as required.

Supports any applicable safety management systems and/or program initiatives specific to assigned area and department.

Experience or knowledge working with heavy equipment, fall protection, LOTO, confined spaces, aerial lifts, and Personal Protective Equipment

Working knowledge of UOSH, OSHA and other safety related regulations.

Experience delivering various training programs with multiple employee groups.
