Patient Safety Coordinator Jobs in Florida

Prepares Quality Council reports and presentations; assists with the preparation of Quality Care and Comfort Committee (QCC) reports and presentations.

Assists leadership in defining key performance indicators and developing measurement tools to evaluate quality improvements; coordinates patient safety culture assessment efforts.

Participates in and/or coordinates multi facility/business unit and/or System wide projects, initiatives and collaboratives.

Consults with and trains teammates to implement monitoring and measurement tools, and data analysis techniques.

Appropriately document information that is required during the patient observation experience.

Perform handoff communication with the Registered Nurse regarding pertinent patient information.

Assist nursing team in maintaining a ligature-resistant or ligature free environment as appropriate to the clinical setting.

Notify and update the licensed nurse of immediate patient safety, patient care, and staff needs.

Fosters positive and professional communication between patients and staff.

Adhere to all policies and procedures.

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

Upload, update, and manage safety recommendations in the enterprise resource management system;

Certifications in OSHA30, CHST, or CSP (preferred)

Experience with conducting unannounced/announced field audits and facility inspections (preferred)

Good communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written (preferred)

Educational and Professional assistance programs; Paid Memberships in Professional Associations

Must understand case management and be computer savvy (Microsoft word and excel).

Any of the following certifications (Is a plus): OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, ASP, and/or CSP

CPR, First Aid, and AED certification

Eligible to work in the US, pass a background check with criminal history and pass a drug test

Physical stamina to stand or travel regularly
