Patient Safety Coordinator Jobs in Iowa

Provide advice and counsel to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions.

Safety certification training (e.g., CRSP, CSP, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information, MSDA, CHST, ASP, COSS, COSM) is preferred.

Three to five years' experience in occupational health and safety in an industrial establishment required.

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.

Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

Responsible for safety orientation, safety training, job site inspections and reporting.

Minimum of 2 years of college; 3-5 years experience providing safety management or a combination that demonstrates sufficient knowledge.

Conducting continual improvement towards certification and higher degrees of knowledge in the field of safety

Must have excellent computer skills (developing tables, presentations, drafting reports, etc.)

Coordinate with Division General Manager to ensure that any official/visitor from a regulatory agency is escorted while at the division.

Manage division Return to Work/Work Comp. Program.

Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.

Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Bachelors degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related experience

Hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.

Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance.

Maintain and develop gas distribution, pipeline, and underground safety knowledge.

Strong presentation skills leading regular Safety Meetings and other trainings.

Demonstrated experience coordinating and communicating information across company and department lines.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

Experience with clinical quality, quality improvement, and/or risk management;

Detail oriented and highly organized with effective time management skills.

Include all quality and delivery requirements, including any certifications that may be required.

Clinical quality experience is a plus

2 years of Behavioral Health and Med Surge experience a must

2 years clinical experience essential
