Previous Infusion Medical Billing/Collections or Intake/Admissions Experience

Performs tasks related to cash drawer management including co-pay collections.

Weekend Requirements: Rotating - 1-2 weekend a month

Attends meetings to enhance knowledge.

Other Posting Information: Typically 2-4 shifts are 11:00p-7:15a shifts a pay period.

Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in event and registration management

Strong follow-up and time management skills

Utilizes multiple registration and data management systems.

Works with Optica Finance department and Registration Manager on financial close out for registration income and expenses.

Managers post-show speaker registration audit

Tracks and manages costs for registration and temporary services vendors.

Preferred skills: Medical terminology and previous medical office experience strongly preferred. Detail orientated, multi-tasking ability with a positive attitude.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Proven experience working with various computer systems required. Strong, demonstrated customer service experience required.

Basic to Intermediate level of skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Previous experience working as a medical assistant / patient registration in medical office preferred but not required

Previous experience with Cover My Meds authorization portal preferred but not required

Working with patients that are missing documentation from their referral for their pharmacy services.

Reaching out to patients to confirm the information they have is correct and or update the patient information.

Maintains current knowledge of insurance requirements communicated by email, memorandum, educational matrices, and in-services.

Functions as a team member to organize and prioritize responsibilities to complete daily work requirements:

Assist management with training new staff as necessary.

Offers assistance to co-workers to ensure completion of all assigned duties as necessary.

Perform pre-registration and collection functions for all patients, including self-pay patients.

Contacts patients via phone for necessary information pertaining to registration, billing, and financial responsibility via our pre-registration process.
