Mitigation of deviations or other trends

Assists management in audits and regulatory compliance requirements.

Identifies gaps in current processes and develop operational risk policies and standards for risk management.

Tracks and monitors operating risk issues for all business units and report issues and mitigation strategies to senior management.

Assists business units and senior management to perform operational risk identification and assessments in all business lines.

10 years of progressively responsible experience with risk, compliance, or legal responsibilities in a commercial bank or similar financial institution

Strong knowledge of economic, accounting, finance, lending, and financial markets

Prior experience in risk management, product control or financial analysis a plus

Any other risk management experience.

Familiar with regulatory reports, rules, and data management consumed by regulatory reports (Y14) and industry best practices such as ORX standards

Review and challenge of the data integrity and assist stakeholders in understanding of regulatory requirements

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with understanding of internal control framework

Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills coupled with ability to present and discuss issues among levels of the organization.

Progressive experience in operational risk management, internal controls, audit, or equivalent field

Partner with business and technology management to lead the execution of risk assessments across business groups.

Lead risk issue management activities, including risk identification, root cause analysis, action plan status monitoring, and reporting of outcomes to management.

Collaborate and challenge process owners during the development of action plans to assess adequacy of actions taken by management.

Ability to present and interact with various levels of management

Strong knowledge and/or experience in the insurance or financial services industry

Ability and willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of project management, including:

Technically proficient communicator who can translate business language and requirements to technical teams and vice versa

Requirements gathering, documentation, use case development

Collaborate with business stakeholders to create business cases, project plans, steering committee presentations, business requirements, and other project or program documentation

Domain knowledge of Alternative Investments (Private Credit/Private Equity/Real Estate/Secondaries) and an understanding of Fund, Investor, and Trade lifecycles

Strong technical skills with high proficiency in PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel

Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
