Occupational Safety Coordinator Jobs

1-3 years of management systems experience ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, OSHA VPP, etc. Professional certification CIH, CSP, ASP, or OHST

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental management, engineering or related discipline.

Knowledge of and experience working with performance metrics

Advanced degree in occupational safety or environmental management

3-5 years of relevant occupational safety and environmental compliance work experience

3-5 years of experience in a complex industrial environment

Assist in management of Ergonomics Program and provide training when needed

General knowledge of federal and state worker’s compensation laws and experience with legal documents

Certifications: Active First Aid/CPR/AED certification and OSHA 30 hr preferred but not required

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in OT, PT, or AT

Experience in an occupational safety setting or therapy clinic preferred

Maintain CEU’s for Indiana License and Certification

Expert knowledge of OSHA Regulations.

Computer skills to include operation and utilization of various software programs including MS Office.

Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety

Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law

Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention

Five to Seven Years of experience in safety management or an appropriate discipline including program administration is required.

A working knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards regarding safety, fire safety, and emergency management is required.

Create, implement, and maintain safety management systems that involve workplace assessments, reporting, documentation, and communications.

A Master’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Experience monitoring environmental safety concerns individually or by coordinating the necessary activity is required.
